Biography

Anne Trubek is a freelance writer and author of A Skeptic’s Guide to Writers’ Houses, which has been hailed as “a remarkable book: part travelogue, part rant, part memoir, part literary analysis and urban history.” She has written for the New York Times, Mother Jones, Slate, Salon, the American Prospect, Dwell, Wired, The Economist and other publications. Her piece “Handwriting Is History,” was chosen to be anthologized in The Best Technology Writing 2010 and she co-edited Writing Material: From Plato To the Digital Age.  She is a book reviewer, freelance editor and Associate Professor at Oberlin College. She lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
