What I’ve Been Up To Lately May 25th, 2012 –I wrote about Sherlock and texting for Buzzfeed. So far I have one GEEKY, one OMG and some WINs. However, on Twitter, I had a great conversation with Jason Mittel and others on how better to describe what the show does with words. –I finished teaching my second How To Pitch course. The group was extraordinarily active, supportive and fun. So far we’ve sold 4 pitches that came from the class, which, since it only ended a week ago, is pretty frigging amazing. Even better, we’re continuing as a group, offering each other feedback, answering questions and bragging. –I reviewed The Aleppo Codex for the Plain Dealer; link to come. –I wrote some hasty generalizations about nonfiction on the blog, which led to some interesting comments, and then another conversation on twitter. In a related event, Dan Cohen wrote about the blessay on his blog, which generated some seriously rapid and highbrow tweeting. –I got some great news about my handwriting book, and my next “What I’ve Been Up To Lately” will contain “wrote about handwriting,” unless I again fall under the spell of Spell Tower, my May nemesis. –Finally, outside my window, I was startled by the eruption of a beneath-rose.
